The closest manhwa like Classroom of the Elite is Weak Hero: a small new student everyone sizes up wrong, who wins because he calculates first. No manhwa copies CotE's points system, so pick by the part you liked. For Ayanokoji himself, start with Weak Hero or Dr. Frost. For the polite schemer nobody can pin down, Cheese in the Trap. For the class pecking order, Lookism.
Quick recap of what we're matching. Classroom of the Elite (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e) is a Japanese light novel by Shougo Kinugasa, so it isn't a manhwa itself; Seven Seas publishes it in English. Its students get "remarkable freedom" as long as they "can win, barter, or save enough points to work their way up the ranks!" Ayanokoji Kiyotaka "has landed at the bottom in the scorned Class D," next to Horikita Suzune, who's "determined to rise up the ladder to Class A." Kinugasa is still writing it in Japan, now in a third-year series.

1. Weak Hero: the closest Ayanokoji
Weak Hero (cover via WEBTOON).
WEBTOON's pitch: the school "is run by tyrants," and new student Gray is "small in stature," but "his calculative and brutal fighting leaves unsuspecting opponents lying on the floor begging for mercy." The Korean original is 약한영웅, credited to SEOPASS and RAZEN.
That's Ayanokoji's trick in a rougher school: everyone reads Gray as harmless, and he uses it. The difference is the arena. CotE settles things with exams and class points; Weak Hero settles them with fists. It's finished at 268 chapters, so you can binge it to the end. 2. Cheese in the Trap: the schemer you can't pin down

Soonkki's series (치즈인더트랩) follows "model student Seol," back at college after a long break, and Jung, "a senior who's also known as Mr. Perfect." WEBTOON's blurb ends on the question the whole story runs on: "is he intentionally turning her life upside down?"
This is the pick if you liked never being sure what Ayanokoji is up to: a polite, well-liked guy who may be moving people around, seen through the one person who suspects it. It's a university romance drama, though, with no points and no class war. It finished in 2017 after four seasons, a little under three hundred chapters in all, and WEBTOON calls it "Now a major (K-Drama) adaptation." The website shows only the early episodes; the rest are in the app.
3. Lookism: the pecking order, with fists
Lookism (cover via WEBTOON).
"Daniel is an unattractive loner who wakes up in a different body. Now tall, handsome, and cooler than ever in his new form, Daniel aims to achieve everything he couldn't before." Taejun Pak's Lookism (외모지상주의) started in Korea in 2014, and the match with CotE is the ranking: who gets respect at school and why.
r/manhwa once tested the crossover directly, in a thread asking where Ayanokoji would rank in the "Lookism verse." The top reply: "Ayanokoji doesn't get past wimp Zack, let alone daniel....." That's the difference in one line: Lookism's ladder is physical, and brains alone don't climb it.
It's long and still weekly. Episode 617 went up on October 10, 2026, it updates every Sunday, and WEBTOON pitches it as "the original webcomic behind Netflix's new animated series." Our Lookism review has the full verdict.

4. Dr. Frost: the people-reader
Dr. Frost (cover via WEBTOON).
"College professor by day, and bartender by night, psychologist Dr. Frost" is the kind of man who "solves the puzzles of the human mind one by one." His creator, JongBeom Lee, writes in his WEBTOON note: "I studied psychology and have been working on Dr. Frost for ten years." The Korean title is 닥터 프로스트.
The link to CotE is the lead: calm, detached, and better at reading people than they are at reading him. That's our comparison, not the publisher's. It's built around cases rather than a class rivalry, and its hero is a professor, not a student. It ran on Naver from 2011 to 2021 and finished at 264 chapters.
5. Omniscient Reader: the hero who knows more than he says
Omniscient Reader (cover via WEBTOON).
Dokja "was an average office worker whose sole interest was reading his favorite web novel 'Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse.'" When the novel "suddenly becomes reality, he is the only person who knows how the world will end." WEBTOON credits singNsong for the original novel, UMI for the adaptation and Sleepy-C for the art; fans call it ORV, from the Korean 전지적 독자 시점.
It's here for one thing: like Ayanokoji, Dokja's edge is knowing more than the people around him and choosing what to show. There's no school at all. The English run is on a break: Episode 308 went up on June 1, 2026, and WEBTOON's note says "Omniscient Reader will return!" 6. My ID is Gangnam Beauty: the ranking from the bottom
My ID is Gangnam Beauty (cover via WEBTOON).
"After going through major plastic surgery, freshman Mirae is ready for a fresh start." At university, "she becomes recognized as a pretty yet somewhat unnatural 'Gangnam beauty,'" and all she wants "is to have a normal campus life without being judged by her looks." Maenggi Ki's series (내 ID는 강남미인!) finished at 84 chapters.
This is the loosest fit. Nobody's scheming, and it's a campus romance. It's here for readers who liked CotE's ranking of students more than its mind games, told from someone near the bottom of it. The website shows the first nine episodes; the rest are in the app.
Our take: which manhwa like Classroom of the Elite to start with
In an r/manhwa thread asking for a "manipulative cold/genius mc who are steps ahead of everyone," one reply was blunt: "They don't exist. They're forced to be out of character for plot reasons 99% of the time."
We wouldn't go that far, but the point holds: no manhwa gives you the whole package of points, exams and a hidden genius. So pick by the piece. Start with Weak Hero if Ayanokoji is why you're here; it's finished, and Gray gets underestimated the same way. Go to Cheese in the Trap if the fun was never knowing what he's planning. Pick Lookism if the class war was the best part and you don't mind it turning into fights. Skip Omniscient Reader if you only want school stories, and read it if a hidden edge is what hooked you.

On October 15, 2026 we checked each pick's English WEBTOON page, AniList's entries for all seven series, Seven Seas' Classroom of the Elite page, Crunchyroll's trailer on YouTube and three r/manhwa threads. We haven't read the picks for this update; the premises come from the publishers, and the "what it shares" notes are our editorial comparison. This update corrected the light novel's English publisher (Seven Seas, not Yen Press), Cheese in the Trap's setting (a university, not a school) and its chapter count, Lookism's latest episode and Dr. Frost's WEBTOON link. We removed an unsourced chapter count for the Omniscient Reader novel, a key takeaways list and a frequently asked questions section that repeated the list.
