The highest-scored manhwa on AniList isn't Solo Leveling. It's a finished comedy about a civil engineering student and a giant hamster, and it leads by four points.

VerdictThe Greatest Estate Developer is the top rated manhwa on AniList at 90. Pick it for a finished story; pick The Horizon if you want the top ten's shortest read.

The top rated manhwa on AniList is The Greatest Estate Developer, with an average score of 90. That's four points clear of Omniscient Reader in second, the widest gap anywhere in the top ten. It's also finished, and you can sample it before committing: WEBTOON's website carries Episodes 1 to 7, and the rest of the run is in the WEBTOON app. That makes it the easiest recommendation on this page.

Three Korean manhwa covers side by side: a grinning man with a shovel among gold coins, a dark-haired young man in torn armor, and a lone figure on a gray beach under a stormy sky

If you came here expecting Solo Leveling at the top, it isn't. It's the most-listed manhwa on AniList by a huge margin, but its score of 84 is shared with three other series, and it lands seventh. Popularity and rating are different lists, and this one is the second kind.

How we ranked the top rated manhwa

We pulled every Korean comic on AniList that more than 30,000 users have on their lists, with adult-flagged titles left out. That gave us 46 series. We sorted them by AniList's average score, broke ties with the mean score, then with the number of users, all read on October 26, 2026. The 30,000 floor keeps out titles with a high score from a few hundred fans.

One title fell out: Wind Breaker scores 84, but AniList marks it cancelled and lists no official English link. Everything below has an English release you can read legally.

To make sure the number one pick holds up past its score, we read Episode 1 of The Greatest Estate Developer on WEBTOON. The first page is a man with a shovel on a hill: "My name is Suho Kim." Then: "No, in this world, my name is Lloyd Frontera!" A few pages later he wakes in the dirt to a pop-up reading "You are now a character of 'Knight of Blood and Iron,'" and his first thought is "Oh! Is this one of those web novels where I've possessed someone from a different world?" It knows exactly what genre it's in, and it's funny about it from the first scroll.

Scores, user counts and chapter totals are from AniList on October 26, 2026; episode notes are from each platform's series page the same day. Scores move as users vote.

1. The Greatest Estate Developer

The Greatest Estate Developer Korean volume 1 cover: a grinning brown-haired man in a vest rests a shovel on his shoulder, a hamster on it, while gold coins fly around him The Greatest Estate Developer (cover via AniList).

The best-rated manhwa on AniList, and a comedy, which almost never happens at the top of these lists. Civil engineering student Suho Kim wakes up as Lloyd Frontera, "a lazy noble who loves to drink, and whose family is in a mountain of debt." Per the WEBTOON synopsis, he uses "his engineering knowledge" to design inventions "with the help of a giant hamster, a knight, and the world's magic."

Among AniList's top tags are Surreal Comedy (96%), Anachronism (94%) and Economics (93%), which is the whole pitch: it's a fantasy where the problems are money and infrastructure. Our Greatest Estate Developer review has the full verdict.

Finished at 222 chapters on AniList, credited on WEBTOON to Lee Hyun Min, Kim Hyunsoo and BK_Moon. Skip it if you want your isekai played straight.

2. Omniscient Reader

Omniscient Reader Korean volume 1 cover: a dark-haired young man in torn gray armor looks back over his shoulder, with the Korean title in tall black letters Omniscient Reader (cover via AniList).

The highest-scored apocalypse story in our pool, and the pick if you like plots built on knowing more than everyone else. Kim Dokja's favorite web novel comes true, and as WEBTOON's synopsis puts it, "he is the only person who knows how the world will end." AniList tags it Survival at 97% and Death Game at 88%.

The catch is timing. WEBTOON's web list stops at Episode 308 on June 1, 2026, with a note that "Omniscient Reader will return!" The same page says 4 newer episodes are available only on the app, so app readers get a little further before the wait. Our Omniscient Reader manhwa review has the longer case.

3. The Legend of the Northern Blade

The Legend of the Northern Blade Korean volume 1 cover: a long-haired swordsman in black lunges forward with a blade, the Korean title brushed in white The Legend of the Northern Blade (cover via AniList).

The highest-rated martial arts manhwa here, and a finished one, which matters in a genre full of very long runs. Tappytoon's synopsis sets it up fast: the leader of the Northern Heavenly Sect is forced to "disband the sect and commit suicide to protect his son, Moowon." AniList tags it Martial Arts 95% and Revenge 91%.

Tappytoon marks it Completed. It finished at 202 chapters on AniList, and it's the only top-ten pick that's Tappytoon-only in English. Our Legend of the Northern Blade review goes deeper. Skip it if you want comedy between fights.

4. The Horizon

The Horizon Korean volume 1 cover: a tiny lone figure stands on a gray beach facing a dark, stormy sea, the Korean title in white The Horizon (cover via AniList).

The shortest read in the top ten by a mile, at 21 chapters, and the bleakest. AniList tags it Survival 98%, Philosophy 92% and War 91%. If you only have an evening and want to see why people call webtoons literature, this is it.

It's by Jeong Ji-hun, who signs as JH, and he also made number ten, The Boxer. JH's own note on WEBTOON says he "created 'The Horizon'" before starting The Boxer. Two of our ten are by one creator.

AniList lists WEBTOON, Yen Press and Lezhin as English homes. Skip it if you need a happy ending.

5. Eleceed

Eleceed Korean cover: a smiling blond boy and a dark-haired young man in a black jacket stand together under the bright blue ELECEED logo Eleceed (cover via AniList).

The most fun ongoing series on this list. It's an urban fantasy action comedy (Urban Fantasy 97% on AniList) by Jeho Son, who wrote Noblesse, with art by ZHENA. If you want a long series to follow week to week, this is the one in the top five that's still updating.

WEBTOON's English list was at Episode 408 on October 19, 2026, with 10 more episodes on the app. Our Eleceed review has the full verdict.

6. Return of the Blossoming Blade

Return of the Blossoming Blade Korean volume 1 cover: a smirking swordsman with a long black ponytail rests a sword on his shoulder, red petals around him Return of the Blossoming Blade (cover via AniList).

The best-rated murim regression story. AniList tags it Swordplay 98%, Wuxia 94% and Reincarnation 92%. It ties three other titles at 84 but has the highest mean score of the four, which is why it sits first in that group.

Ongoing on AniList, in English on WEBTOON. Our Return of the Blossoming Blade review has the full verdict. Skip it if you've already burned out on murim.

7. Solo Leveling

Solo Leveling Korean volume 1 cover: a dark-haired hunter in a white shirt grips a glowing green dagger as black shadow smoke rises behind him Solo Leveling (cover via AniList).

The most popular manhwa on AniList, with 287,820 users, more than twice the next title on our list. Its score of 84 is excellent; it's just not the highest. If you've somehow never read it, it's still the cleanest power-fantasy arc in the medium, and it's finished at 201 chapters.

Tapas lists 202 episodes, and AniList also lists Tappytoon, Manta and Yen Press print. Our Solo Leveling review is the long version.

8. Pick Me Up

Pick Me Up Korean volume 1 cover: a dark-haired young man in a black coat holds a long silver sword over a glowing blue game interface Pick Me Up (cover via AniList).

The game-isekai pick. Seojin Han treats 1-star heroes as "fodder for learning a boss' attack patterns" until he's "transported into the game as one of those 1-star heroes." AniList tags it Survival 97% and Video Games 94%. Of the three top-ten picks on Tapas, it's the least read there, at 2.4m views.

Tapas has 194 episodes and updates every Friday, and AniList lists no other English platform. That matters: Tapas ends service on March 31, 2027. Read it before then, and check our Tapas alternatives guide for where series are moving.

9. Villains Are Destined to Die

Villains Are Destined to Die Korean volume 1 cover: a pink-haired young woman in a dark gown holds a red rose, surrounded by white lilies and roses Villains Are Destined to Die (cover via AniList).

The only romance fantasy in the top ten. A player obsessed with a game gets thrown "into the part of Penelope Eckhart," the villainess, where, in the Tapas synopsis's words, "every possible ending is death!" AniList tags it Female Protagonist 98% and Villainess 95%.

Tapas lists 226 episodes, and a notice from August 15, 2026 says "the main story has come to a close" with special episodes to follow after a break. AniList also lists Tappytoon and Manta in English. Our Villains Are Destined to Die review has more. Skip it if you want romance without the death flags.

10. The Boxer

The Boxer Korean volume 1 cover: half of a calm, narrow-eyed man's face in shadow beside a large red THE BOXER logo on white The Boxer (cover via AniList).

The top sports pick, and JH's second appearance on this list. AniList tags it Boxing 99% and Philosophy 96%, which tells you it's less about winning fights than about why anyone fights at all. Crunchyroll announced an anime on October 8, 2026.

Finished at 133 chapters on AniList, in English on WEBTOON (182M views on its card there) and in print from Yen Press. Our Boxer review has the full verdict. Just outside the top ten, also at 83: Bastard, Who Made Me a Princess and SSS-Class Revival Hunter, each with a lower mean score than The Boxer.

Our take

Start with The Greatest Estate Developer. It's the top rated manhwa on AniList by a clear margin, it's finished, and its first episode tells you within a minute whether its humor is for you. If you want something you can finish tonight, read The Horizon. And if you want a series to follow every week, Eleceed is the one in this top ten that's still updating on a schedule.
