Manhwa News This Week: Every Date Through Early December

The biggest manhwa news this week is a date: Murim Login (로그인 무림) comes back in Korean on November 7, nine months after its last episode. Overgeared had the other big English move of the week, with 260 back episodes landing on WEBTOON's website on October 23. On Tapas, meanwhile, seven series we follow haven't posted a new episode since late September, and none of them says why.

That split is the thread through this week's news. The Korean originals, and WEBTOON's English editions, are giving readers dates. The Tapas side has gone quiet five months before the service closes.

Manhwa News This Week: What Happened

Murim Login Season 4 has a date. A KakaoPage notice dated October 21 says Season 4 returns on Saturday, November 7, with episodes 251 and 252 together, then one episode every Saturday. The episodes actually go live at 22:00 Korea time on Friday, November 6, which is 8:00 a.m. ET. The last Korean episode was 250, on February 6. English readers are further back: Tapas's Log-in Murim stopped after Season 1 at 117 episodes, with a hiatus notice dated April 24. Our Murim Login Season 4 tracker has the full timeline.

On r/manhwa, one reader in the Season 4 thread put it this way: "It feels like it's been a year, and this comment made me double check but the last chapter was only in Feb."

Overgeared's back catalog reached WEBTOON's website. On October 21, WEBTOON's English Overgeared list on the web stopped at Episode 48 and held 260 more episodes for the app. By October 24 the web list ran to Episode 308, with Episodes 49 through 308 all dated October 23, and only one episode left in the app. Tapas's newest Overgeared episode is still 305, from September 26. The Remarried Empress gets a spin-off. The main series is marked completed on WEBTOON, and a note at the top of its page says: "The Remarried Empress: Spin-off launches Oct 29 as a new series!"

Two murim favorites stay on break. Return of the Blossoming Blade (화산귀환) posted (S3) Episode 179 on WEBTOON on October 13 and now carries a "will return!" note. Naver lists the Korean original as on break at the same episode, so the English edition has nothing to catch up on. Return of the Mad Demon (광마회귀) is different: English is at Episode 202 (October 17), and the Korean original is on break at episode 213, eleven episodes ahead. Our hiatus tracker follows both.

Manta's Tapas program is the one concrete exit so far. Manta's Move Your Bookshelf event runs until February 28, 2027 (ET). If you bought episodes of an eligible series with Tapas Ink, Manta gives you access to the same episodes. You need at least 10 paid episodes of a series. Of the series we cover, only Tomb Raider King, Tomb Raider King: End Line and Lout of Count's Family were on its eligible list on October 24.

The Tapas Series That Went Quiet

Each of these had a weekly Tapas schedule badge on October 24, and none has posted since:

Two of them do carry a "Publishing Cadence" note: Max Level Hero takes a week off after every five episodes, Perks after every four. Neither note explains four silent weeks. Tapas as a whole hasn't stopped, though: The Beginning After the End posted "258. A Simple Life" on October 22, right on its Thursday schedule. Manhwa News This Week: Six-Week Calendar

This manhwa release calendar runs from October 25 to December 6. Anime times come from AniList's airing schedule, which is a community database, not the studios. Everything else is from the official notice or the outlet named in the references.

The Blue Road is the odd one out: a Korea-Japan crime thriller starring Son Suk-ku and Eita Nagayama, directed by Han Jun-hee of Weak Hero Class, based on a comic rather than a webtoon we cover. The Remarried Empress trailer, from Hulu, is below.

Just past the window: SSS-Class Revival Hunter Vol. 5 comes out from Ize Press on December 8, in paperback and digital, and AniList puts the Overgeared finale, episode 12, on December 13. AniList lists the SSS-Class Revival Hunter anime for January 2027. Manta's Move Your Bookshelf closes February 28, and Tapas itself on March 31.

Still no date: a second season of the Tomb Raider King anime. The official site's newest news item is the episode 12 preview from September 28. Our Tomb Raider King anime page will update when that changes.

Our Take

This is our reading of the dates above, not anything Kakao, Tapas or WEBTOON has said. The publishers who still have a future in English are making noise: WEBTOON opened up Overgeared's back catalog on its site, Manta is offering a free way in for Tapas buyers, and KakaoPage gave Murim Login readers a day and an hour. Tapas is doing the opposite. Seven weekly series stopping in the same three days, with no notice on any of them, looks less like seven separate breaks and more like the English pipeline winding down. That's our inference, not something Tapas has confirmed.

If you follow any of the seven, check whether the series has another English home now rather than in March. For Overgeared that's easy: WEBTOON's website already has it through Episode 308. For Murim Login, there's still no English Season 2 anywhere, and the Korean return doesn't change that yet.

On October 24 we opened each Tapas series page and its newest episode for the date, read the KakaoPage notice in Korean, and compared WEBTOON's English lists with the list pages we saved on October 21. Naver's status flags came from its public title API. Anime times are AniList's airing schedule, and the live-action dates come from Variety and The Korea Herald. Every fact is logged in our sources table.
