The setup fits in one line from WEBTOON's own blurb: "When you go from level 99 to level 1 and start all over again." A level-99 player in a VR MMORPG drops back to level 1 and has to climb through the game all over again, with guilds, rankings and PvP that make the game feel like a place, the way Royal Road does. It doesn't have Weed's class trick. What it has is an ending: it ran from January 2016 to May 2022 on Naver and WEBTOON and is complete, the cleanest fix if LMS's stall is what bothers you. 3. I Killed the Main Player

Corin is a minor NPC who knows his game inside out, watches the "main player" Sihu murder innocent NPCs for their items, and when Sihu fails the last mission, Corin is thrown three years back in time and decides to kill Sihu and take his role. The game world is as layered as Royal Road, but Corin's edge is foreknowledge, not a dismissed class. 4. Murim Login

Taekyung Jin is a struggling, low-ranked hunter in a world where monster portals made hunting a job. He logs into a game on a beat-up VR console and finds himself trapped in a martial-arts world, unable to log out. That's the most literal "logged into a game" setup on this list, but the power system is martial arts training, not an economy with crafting and trade, so Weed's half of the comparison barely applies. 5. The Player Who Can't Level Up

7. Reincarnator

Abyss is an alternate reality built by a bored god, who pulls people from Earth into a gladiator game against monsters and each other. Hansoo Kang, one of the last four survivors, is sent back twenty years to try again, relearning his skills next to old friends and enemies. The tiered, game-like structure feels close to Royal Road; the engine is survival, not profit. It updates every Saturday on WEBTOON, where Season 2 had reached Episode 135 on October 16, 2026, with more in the app.

8. The Greatest Estate Developer

Not a VR story at all. Civil engineering student Su-ho Kim falls asleep reading a fantasy novel and wakes up as Lloyd Frontera, a lazy, hard-drinking noble whose family is buried in debt, and starts designing inventions with his engineering know-how to dodge the grim future waiting for him. If what you loved was Weed's personality (the mental math, refusing to spend a coin he doesn't have to, happily looking petty if the numbers say so), Lloyd is the closest character match here. It's finished at 222 chapters, and WEBTOON lists the English edition as completed. Our Greatest Estate Developer review rates it 8.5/10.

9. Tomb Raider King

Also not VR. Tombs appear all over the world, each holding a relic with supernatural power, and tomb raider Jooheon Suh, betrayed and about to die, wakes up fifteen years in the past, before any of it began. What it shares with LMS is the patient, itemized build: hundreds of chapters of collecting specific advantages rather than one big power spike. Our take

Start with Overgeared. It's the only pick that gives you both the VR game and a hero who turns a mocked class into a weapon, and it's still running. If you've been burned by LMS stopping, Hardcore Leveling Warrior and Tomb Raider King are finished, and The Greatest Estate Developer is the one to read for Weed's personality alone. We'd skip Reincarnator if the economy side of LMS is what you liked; it's a good survival story, just not this kind.
