The webtoon is only on Tapas in English. Older guides (ours included) said WEBTOON carries it too. It doesn't: AniList lists Tapas as the only English storefront, and a WEBTOON search for the title turns up only fan comics.
What the story is
Tapas sums it up well: "When the warrior Hamel sacrifices himself to protect his rival Bermut Lionhart, he makes Bermut vow to vanquish the last of the demon kings." He wakes up 300 years later with his memories, the demon kings still alive, and a new name: Eugene Lionhart, "a member of his former rival's bloodline."

Step-by-Step
1. Read the webtoon on Tapas, from Episode 1. There's no prequel and no side story to slot in. Tapas lets you wait a day per free episode, but the newest 24 aren't on that timer, so the end of Season 2 costs Ink.
2. Think before you buy. Tapas ends service on March 31, 2027, and episodes you unlock there won't be readable after that (Tapas). Read on the free timer where you can, and if you do buy, treat it as a rental that ends next spring.
3. Stop at the end of Season 2, or keep going in the novel. Wuxiaworld has the finished English translation, with one free chapter every 23 hours and paid access beyond that. We haven't mapped the last webtoon episode to a novel chapter, so if you switch, skim the start to find your place rather than trusting a number from a forum.
4. Come back for Season 3. The webtoon will return, per Tapas; there's just no date. Since Tapas is closing, keep an eye on where Season 3 lands in English before you buy anything new.

Damn Reincarnation reading guide: the Season 3 question
Season 3 is a hiatus, not a cancellation, and that's the official line. On May 28, 2026, Team Tapas posted: "Season 2 has come to a close and so we will be taking a hiatus break before returning with season 3!"
The wait has been long enough to breed rumours. When a Season 3 update made the rounds in January, one r/manhwa reader wrote "I thought they lost licensing and had to restart with a new group elsewhere..?", and another noted that "just yesterday a guy asked about this and people where saying its axed" (r/manhwa). Tapas's May notice still says the series is coming back.
Our take
Start with the webtoon: it's the quicker way into the Lionhart family, and seeing Eugene fight beats reading about it. Once the episodes run out, don't sit and wait for an undated Season 3: the novel is done, and it's where the whole story is. If Tapas's closing date nags at you, read the webtoon on the free timer and put your money into the novel instead.
