The setup, per Ize Press's blurb: Suho is "just an ordinary college student." His parents went missing right before the gates started appearing three years ago, and he sometimes dreams he can level up like a video game. When monsters break out on his campus, he runs in to save a classmate, and the system greets him: "Congratulations on becoming a Player." Tapas adds the bigger threat: the Absolute Ones, creators of the universes beyond ours, are scrambling to fill the void left by a fallen brother, and Suho has to conquer the shadow dungeon while learning his father's legacy.

Why Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is on hiatus
Season 2 ended in January 2026. Artist JIN announced in a January 7 episode on Kakao Webtoon that Season 2 would be his last before South Korea's mandatory military service, and D&C Webtoon confirmed that Season 3 will continue with a different artist. No date was given. Tapas posted its own hiatus notice on January 31, 2026, promising a return "with season 3," and as of October 21, 2026 it still shows 69 episodes.
