Manhwa K-drama adaptations 2026, short version: read The Remarried Empress now. It's the one big premiere still to come, it lands on Disney+ in early November, and the webtoon is already finished, so you can know how Navier's story ends before the drama gets there. Of the other four, two have aired and two have no date.

Our rule for the order below: a drama with a date beats one without, and a finished webtoon you can actually reach the end of beats everything else.
1. The Remarried Empress: the one to start today
This is the headline adaptation of the year, and the source is the right kind of long: done, and on WEBTOON in English. Sumpul draws it, and the comic adapts Alphatart's original story. AniList counts 247 chapters, so you won't finish in a weekend.
The setup is in WEBTOON's own pitch. Navier is a near-perfect empress "until her husband brought home a mistress and demanded a divorce", and she answers with the line that sells the whole series: "I accept this divorce… And I request an approval of my remarriage."
- The drama: ten episodes. Disney+ opens with four on November 4, then adds two every Wednesday until the finale on November 25 (The Hollywood Reporter). The Busan festival screened the first three episodes in October.
- Cast: Shin Min-a as Navier, Ju Ji-hoon as Emperor Sovieshu, Lee Jong-suk as Heinrey and Lee Se-young as Rashta. Cho Su-won directs (Deadline).
- Caveat: ten episodes for a story this long means cuts. That's our read, not a leak; nobody has said which arcs survive.

Readers are nervous, and not quietly. Under the duo poster on r/KDRAMA, one webtoon reader wrote: "As a Webtoon reader for some reason I feel the kdrama is going to be disappointing..." Another pointed out the timing problem: "K-Drama and Anime version of this manhwa story coming out all at once." They're right about the anime: AniList lists a Japanese TV anime from studio TROYCA for 2027.

2. Portraits of Delusion: the quick read to queue next
If you saw somewhere that this one has no English version, that's wrong. WEBTOON has run it in English as Delusion since March 2021, and it's finished at 60 chapters. Hongjacga wrote and drew it for Naver between 2019 and 2020.
The pitch: "It's 1935 in Gyeongseong, and struggling artist Iho Yun has been commissioned by the reclusive, elderly Madam Jeonghwa Song to paint a portrait." She turns out to be a young woman who wants to be painted old, and a note hidden in the last painter's supplies says "Don't finish the portrait."
- The drama: Disney+, twelve episodes, slated for the second half of 2026 with no premiere date as of mid-October. Bae Suzy plays Song Jeong-hwa and Kim Seon-ho plays the painter; Han Jae-rim writes and directs (Wikipedia).
- Caveat: none worth the name. Twelve episodes for 60 chapters is a far roomier fit than The Remarried Empress gets, so this is the adaptation least likely to rush.

Inklore, an imprint of Random House, has bought the English print rights, so a book edition is on the way for shelf readers.
3. Positively Yours: the drama's done, the webtoon is longer
Channel A aired all twelve episodes from January 17 to February 22, with Choi Jin-hyuk, Oh Yeon-seo, Hong Jong-hyun and Kim Da-som. If the drama worked for you, the webtoon is the longer version, and it isn't quite the same story.
The webtoon comes from Jaedam Media (story by Lee Jung, art by Kang Gi, from a web novel). According to Chosun Biz, its heroine "dreamed of being a perfect teacher" before one night upends her plans, and "there are some differences from the drama setting." In English it's complete on Tapas at 89 episodes, and it's also on Tappytoon, Lezhin and Manta.
- Caveat: Tapas leaves the last 44 episodes out of its wait-for-free system, and it stopped selling Ink on October 1, 2026, so only Ink you already hold opens the ending there. Tapas closes on March 31, 2027 and unlocked episodes go with it, so start on Tappytoon, Lezhin or Manta if you're new. (What the shutdown means)

4. Bloodhounds and All of Us Are Dead: second seasons
Both of these are continuations, and both webtoons ended years ago. You don't need the comic to follow either show; read it if you want the version that came first.
Bloodhounds Season 2 premiered on Netflix on April 3. Netflix pitches it as "a bigger stage and even higher stakes, moving into the brutal world of an underground international boxing league." The webtoon by Jeong Chan is complete on WEBTOON in English.
All of Us Are Dead Season 2 has finished filming but has no date. Shooting began after Netflix Korea announced the table read on July 23, 2025, and wrapped in February 2026 after about seven months, per What's on Netflix. The source, Joo Dong-geun's school-zombie webtoon, ran in Korea from 2009 to 2011 and is complete on WEBTOON in English. For more survival action while you wait, try our action manhwa list.

Our take on the manhwa K-drama adaptations 2026 slate
If you only read one, make it The Remarried Empress, and start this week: it's the longest of the lot and the only one with a firm date. Delusion is the better book-club pick, short and strange and finished, and with luck you'll be done before Disney+ names a date. We'd skip reading ahead for the two sequels; both shows have already moved past their first seasons, and the webtoons are there whenever you want them.
One more adaptation landed outside this list: Netflix's Mousetrap premiered on August 28.
